Abstract

The effective orthotropic elastic properties of a uniaxially-reinforced, continuous fiber lamina are calculated from the elastic phase properties of the orthotropic, elastic fiber and isotropic, elastic matrix using the Self-Consistent Field Model.  The effective laminate properties are calculated for a symmetric laminate using Classical Laminated Plate Theory.
