I replied you through email Monday morning. However, the system is not receiving it so I re-enter it now.
Jessica, SwiftComp can be used as a standalone code, we don’t have to rely on another FE solver if all you want to do is virtual testing of composites. If you want to do multiscale modeling, then you can use it with any other software which has beam/plate/shell/3D elements.
Molding simulation results can be used as input for SwiftComp as long as you can mesh the corresponding molding-simulated microstructure.
The micromechanical model we use is called mechanics of structure genome. To know more details about this theory, please refer to my recent NAFEMS webinar.
I am not sure what you refer to by partial homogenization. SwiftComp can obtain the complete set of properties within one analysis. All the microstructure details including pointwise anisotropy can be handled.
Hi.
Is it possible to install Swiftcomp on a Mac or it just run on Windows and Linux?
I have downloaded "gmsh4scEXE.zip" from https://cdmhub.org/groups/yugroup/resources?alias=scstandard&tab_active=supportingdocs.
The link below is not working.

Thanks.
I'm currently working on my doctorate thesis modelling composite materials and structures and have some question about Swiftcomp,
How to save the results of Swiftcomp on my directory (My PC, C;/ or D:/...), To compare displacements or stresses by the two methods MSG and 3D FEA, Thank you very mutch?
I was reading the Gmsh4SC Manual and using the cloud version of SwiftComp, but when I reached session 3.1 of the manual (Square Pack Microstructure (2D)) I saw that the manual is different from the cloud version of SwiftComp; does not exist Geometry -> Elementary entities -> Add -> Point.
Am I doing something wrong? What do I have to do?
The latest Gmsh4SC has been updated several times. Sorry for the confusions about the old manual. There are no user defined geometry functions (e.g. Elementary entities ) in the current version. Users can only use the common SGs in the current version. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi!
I'm currently working on my master thesis and have some questions about Swiftcomp.
Which FE-solvers can you use with Swiftcomp?
Is there any molding simulation softwares that can give input to Swiftcomp?
When Swiftcomp predicts the elastic properties, which micromechanical model is used?
Is the resulting material made by partial homogenization or is each element/vector described with different properties?
I hope you have time to answer.
Best regards,
Jessica Gydemo

Hi Almeida,
Gmsh4SCEXE.zip works for windows system. Currently, we only have windows and linux version.
Thanks

Hi Prof. Yu.
I got the link on Gmsh4SCManual.pdf.

Sorry for the confusions. The manual has been updated.

Thank you.
But is it an older version? from April, 2016? The other version was from September, 2016.
Xin Liu @ on
Please check it now. Thanks.

Thank you for your attention Xin.
