Damping in dynamic simulation

  1. Thomas Ricard

We are wondering if it's possible to introduce some kind of damping in the Gebt dynamic simulation to avoid the model to oscillate forever.

Our preferred option would be the aerodynamic damping. This would simulate the windage (roughly) at the same time.

We are quite open to any kind of damping: material damping, aerodynamic damping, purely arbitrary.

    Thanks for you help.

It is possible to incorporate damping to GEBT, although not available right now. We have provided the source codes completely free on cdmHUB, you can download it and make changes yourself. ---- Emailed forum response from wenbinyu@purdue.edu
