SwiftComp available on Apple App Store

SwiftComp iOS App is available on Apple App Store https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/swiftcomp/id1297825946?ls=1&mt=8.

If you have an iPhone, you can find it in App Store by searching SwiftComp.

The functionalities for current version are following:

1. For laminate, users can obtain effective 3D properties, effective in-plane properties, and effective flexural properties.

2. For unidirectional fiber reinforced composite, users can calculate effective engineering constants, plane-stress reduced compliance matrix and plane-stress reduced stiffness matrix.

You can also test it by using the simulator before:

(Note: The simulator can have:

1 concurrent user
100 minutes per month)

About the author

Banghua Zhao

Banghua Zhao is a Ph.D. student in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering at Purdue University in Dr. Wenbin Yu's group beginning from 2017. He received his MSAA in the same department from Purdue University and his B.E. in Aerospace department from Beihang University in China. His research includes honeycomb sandwich structure and graphic user interface development for SwiftComp. He has an internship experience at ANSYS, Inc during 2016 summer when he acted as a MAPDL testing engineer. He has another 7-month internship experience at Apple, Inc as a product design FEA engineer in 2018.

  It has been fixed. Note the simulator can have 1 concurrent user and 100 minutes per month. Please let me know if you can use it. Thanks!
