Biography
David Matthew Boston ("Matt" to his friends) is a Master's student at Purdue University in the Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering program. His undergraduate degrees are in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Oregon State University and the Universität des Saarlandes (Germany), respectively. He has also studied at Luleå Tekniske Universitet in Sweden. After several internships in industry and manufacturing, he decided to pursue research and development by getting his graduate degree in aeronautics. Prior to starting at Purdue, he spent the summer at NASA's Langley Research Center making samples of dual matrix composites for material characterization tests. His current research interests are predominantly morphing wings and smart or compliant structures.
