   Good afternoon,

   Just to be sure, does the homework 1 ask us to do just part 1 and 2 for 4.38?

   also Mathematica does not seem to like the angle 40 degree computation wise unless it is converted to a numerical form. Why is this so?

   I have attached my code herewith. DSolve is taking indefinite amount of time if i remove the //N from the two beta matrices

   Usually you need to persuade the computer to do the job. If you try to solve everything analytically, it might take too long. Simplifying and numerizing at some computational prohibitive steps are good ideas.
