What is the reason behind the multiplication of all stiffness terms by 1e6 in appendix B? Is it assuming that we are applying 1e-6 amount of strain? I have applied 1 (or 0.5)unit strain in KUBC boundary conditions, so should I remove the 1e6 multiplication factor in Appendix B?
Yes. I just applied 1e-6 for each strain component because I want to keep it as small strain. But this will not influence the results since we are solving a linear elastic problem.
