Abstract

Classical laminated plate theory to calculate the effective in-plane laminate properties from the in-plane lamina properties and stacking sequence.  Calculates mid-plane strains and curvatures given the applied loading.  Alternatively, calculates the applied loading required to achieve specified mid-plane strains and curvatures.  Finally, calculates stresses and strains in each ply in both the laminate and material coordinate systems.
