Is it possible to homogenize aperiodic/partially periodic structures using 3D FEA?

Dear sir,
apart from MSG? is there any alternate way to predict effective properties using 3D FEA  for aperiodic/ partially structures such as honeycomb core, circular fiber with circular matrix interphase,   if so please me suggest me because I want to compare my MSG results with 3D FEA/some other approach.

Are you predicting effective 3D properties or plate/shell properties? For 3D properties, you can refer to J. J. Espadas-Escalante, N. P. van Dijk, P. Isaksson, A Study on the

      thank you your reply,

sir i  am going predict the 3D properties of sandwich  composites core, like honeycomb structures , and  fiber with circular matrix phase ( CCA model) is it possible to implement BCs and homogenize the aperiodic/partially periodic structures using   3D FEA

Yes, that paper I mentioned should help. By the way, please ask your question at https://cdmhub.org/groups/yugroup/forum, that way many MSG/SwiftComp users can help you also.
