‘VABS’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

  1. UMASHANKAR G

    Hello:

I am new to Abaqus/VABS. I have followed all three steps in "https://cdmhub.org/resources/1266/download/Abaqus-VABS_GUI_manual.pdf". I am able to open Abaqus VABS GUI, where i am able to see the plugins.

When I trying submit VABS workflow, i see something happening in background i.e generating *dat file but i dont see *K file ( stiffness file). When i see command prompt I noticed below message “ ‘VABS’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file”.

Can someone help me what is going wrong?

    Kind Regards,

    Umashankar

It us because the script used VABS as command. If you rename VABSIII.exe to be VABS.exe, problem should be solved. ---- Emailed forum response from wenbinyu@purdue.edu

The exe file is included in the files Allan Wood send you. What you download from the website does not contact VABSIII.exe and contains only the GUI as stated on https://cdmhub.org/resources/939. ---- Emailed forum response from wenbinyu@purdue.edu

Hello Dr.Wenbin: I have not received any files from Allan Wood. Is it possible for me to get these files? Thanks

He sent Prasad an email back in March 13th with those files. You can always follow the instruction on the website to request. ---- Emailed forum response from wenbinyu@purdue.edu
