as of I know that we can find E11 and G12 by tensile and shear testing respectively, so that my question is how to investigate transverse young's and shear modulus(E33, G13, G23) by experimentally for pain woven fabric composites, is it possible by experimentally, if so please let me know
I am not an experimentalist, and I cannot provide you an expert opinion. However, it seems to me that one can always apply some simple transverse stress states to evaluate these properties, at least approximately. For example, I can add a pressure on the top surface to measure the change of the thickness. However, it is far from standard test, thus will not accurate.
