  My name is Matthew Lancaster. I graduated with a BS in Materials Engineering from Purdue University in 2013. I have since worked at Rolls-Royce in their Materials Lab as a failure analyst. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Materials Engineering part time while working at Rolls-Royce. My research focuses on the effects of defects on crack propagation in CMCs. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer and spending time with my fiance.
