Originally from Juarez, Mexico, Jorge received a double B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2016. Him and his wife, Katherine, now live in the state of Indiana. Jorge has over 5 years of experience in the field of Additive Manufacturing, with a strong focus on material extrusion processes. He joined the CMSC team at Purdue in September of 2016. Jorge is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering at Purdue University. The current focus of Jorge’s research is to develop simulation tools to better understand material extrusion, additive manufacturing processes of composite materials.
