Dr. Garam Kim is an assistant professor in the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology at Purdue University. Dr. Garam started his academic career in University of Iowa in Mechanical Engineering. He completed his bachelor, master, and Ph.D. program at the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology at Purdue University. He is a certificated FAA Airframe & Powerplant mechanic (A&P) and he served as an aircraft maintenance technician in the Republic of Korea Air force. He has mainly worked on J-85 and F404 engines and possesses multiple aircraft maintenance certificates. Dr. Kim is also an Assistant Director of Manufacturing in Composite Manufacturing and Simulation Center (CMSC) of Purdue University. He has led several projects for industrial partners and research organizations.
