Biography
I'm an Active Duty Coast Guard Officer and MH-65D helicopter pilot. I graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 2005 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Following graduation, I served 2 years afloat on Coast Guard Cutter TAHOMA, home ported in Portsmouth, NH. In 2007, I attended Naval Flight Training in Pensacola, FL. Following completion of training in 2009, I was assigned to Air Station Atlantic City, NJ, where I conducted search and rescue, law enforcement, and marine environmental protection missions, in addition to air defense missions in the National Capital Region airspace.
In 2014, I completed the Coast Guard's Aeronautical Engineering Officer Training Program and transferred to Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii, where I served as the MH-65D Engineering Officer. In this role, I managed personnel, maintenance, and logistics for four MH-65D helicopters in the support of Coast Guard operations in the Hawaiian Islands and Western Pacific.
In 2017, I transferred to Purdue University where I am currently pursuing a non-thesis MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering. Following graduation in May of 2019, my follow-on tour will be a position at the Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, NC.
