My name is Nesredin (Nes) Kedir. I am currently a second-year PhD student in Dr. Wayne Chen's group as part of the Materials Engineering Department. My research interests lie in the assessment of the durability of high-temperature materials for gas turbine engine applications. Prior to attending Purdue, I received my B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Much of my professional experience has revolved around the U.S. Department of Defense. I have interned as a materials technologist in the survivability branch of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory. I have also served as a systems Acquisition lead and subject matter expert in fixed-wing rotary craft structures.
