I am looking to define material orientation in Abaqus SwftComp GUI.
I created a simple 1*1*1 cubic described by 1,000 3D C3D20 elements.
Orthotropic material properties are used. And I defined the material orientation through "Edit material orientation" window in Abaqus (as shown in the attachment figure.)
However, the SwiftComp input file created from the GUI do not include the material orientation.
How can I define material orientation for 3D elements?
Unfortunately, the current version does not support custom 3D SG with orientations. You may need to add the orientation information to the SwiftComp input file by yourself. It should be relatively easy since the definition and syntax of the orientation are very similar between Abaqus and SwiftComp.
