Dear All, there are two channels for you to follow our research.
1. We started a newsletter called Thoughts on Composites Modeling on LinkedIn. Please subscribe to it to get informed about our research and ideas we want to share with the community.
2. We moved our discussion forum to github at wenbinyugroup · Discussions · GitHub as it has more features which can serve you better.

Main research topics: I am working on multiscale modeling of textile composites using Mechanics of Structure Genome (MSG). Elastic, thermoelastic, viscoelastic and failure behaviors of textile composites involving multiple scales are studied using MSG. Besides, surrogate models using the state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms are constructed considering manufacturing features and defects at micro/mesoscale.
In addition, I am also working on developing user graphic interfaces (GUI) for SwiftComp based on open source codes Gmsh and Texgen. Gmsh4SC provides a general purpose pre/post-processing for constitutive modeling of composites. TexGen4SC is used for analyzing textile composites based on MSG.
