A meshing error in a cross-section with 3 webs

  1. Huijing Huijing Cao

    Hi everyone,

I tried to run a case of a wind turbine blade section with 3 webs. There was a mistake on the meshing (screenshot.png). The relevant input files were attached. I would be much appreciated it if anyone can help me.

      Hello Huijing,

To properly trim the web, the key point defining the web needs to be placed inside the 'surface' component. In your case, the point 'web_point_3' (0.89, 0) is located on the layup of the lower surface. After moving it to (0.89, 0.015), the web can be properly trimmed (see the figure).
