material coordinate system results in deformed or undeformed configuration?

  1. Ernesto Camarena

The VABS manual states that the stresses in the material coordinate system are in input_file_name.SM. Earlier in the manual, it shows you how to define the material coordinate systems which would be in the undeformed configuration. It is unclear to me if the results in the input_file_name.SM file are in the deformed or undeformed configuration. Can you please help?

    Best,

    Ernesto

If the recovery is done using a linear theory, then it is in the undeformed configuration. Otherwise, it is defined in the deformed configurations.
